Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
In the election held with secret ballot at the General Assembly, Metin Yener, General Manager of Personnel and Principles of the Presidency, and Mehmet Aksoy, Member of the 6th Chamber of the Court of Accounts, came face to face.
Yener was elected as the Chairman of the Court of Accounts with 255 votes, while Aksoy received 4 votes. While there was 1 blank vote in the election, 10 votes were deemed invalid.
Who is Metin Yener?
Metin Yener was born in Ankara in 1972. Having graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics, Yener completed his graduate studies in
Economic Policy at Gazi University and Public Administration at Indiana University.
Having served at various levels of the government, Yener was appointed as the Deputy Director General of Laws and Decisions at the Prime Ministry in 2012, and as the General Directorate of Personnel and Principles at the Prime Ministry in 2014.
Yener, who has been serving as the Presidential Personnel and Principles General Manager since 2018, is married and has two children.
