Minister Varank: Turkey was Decomposed Positively Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, “Turkey was decomposed positively compared to many countries.” Minister Varank, who came to GEBKİM Chemistry Specialized Organized Industrial Zone in Dilovası district of Kocaeli, went to the ceremony area for his opening speech. Varank, speaking at a ceremony which President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended by videoconference, expressed that today Turkey came together to save a lot of critical investments. Minister Varank said, during the last 6 months thanks to visionary projects and new investments Turkey decomposed in the positive direction compared to many countries. Stating that they will bring an investment of more than 1.2 billion lira to the city with the groundbreaking and openings that will be realized with the participation of President Erdoğan, Varank continued: “These investments include increasing domestic production and reducing foreign dependency, there is value-added exports, innovation, employment, more importantly, promoting women's employment, and there are great efforts made for the vocational training of young people, who are the future of our country.”   In addition, Varank thanked GEBKİM for their contribution to development and said: “Today, we are starting the work that will bring a new breath to the sector in GEBKIM, which is the first and only chemical specialized organized industrial zone in our country.”   Speaking about the investments in addition to these, Minister Varank used the following statements: “We will lay the foundations of the new 400 million lira factory of Koruma Temizlik, which is the largest disinfectant producer in our country. When this facility is completed, besides creating new job opportunities for 450 people, it will export 10 million dollars a year. Again, today we are laying the foundations of Gentaş Kimya's acrylic sheet production facility. With this facility, our external dependence on acrylic sheets will completely disappear. In other words, the 30 million dollars we spend on imports every year will remain in our country. Of course, our company has an export target of 15 million dollars in addition to meeting the domestic market need. We will lay the last foundation for GEBKİM kindergarten. As of today, we have 450 women laborers in GEBKİM OIZ. This school is very important for increasing women's employment in the industrial sector.”
