Musk overtook Bezos and became the richest man in the world

Shares of American electric car manufacturer Tesla continue to grow rocketing. Thanks to their strengthening, Tesla founder became the richest man in the world. On the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Elon Musk overtook Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Shares of Tesla improved 4.8 percent on Thursday, and Musk's net assets were $ 188.5 billion (153.55 billion euros). Its value was $ 1.5 billion higher than the value of Bezos's assets, which have been at the top of the index since October 2017. Musk's assets have risen by more than $ 150 billion over the past 12 months, arguably the sharpest increase in assets in history. The reason was the unprecedented strengthening of Tesla shares, which jumped by 743 percent over the past year. One of the reasons is that Tesla managed to stay in profit permanently, which also helped it to include its shares on the S&P 500 index.
