Popular sportswear brand Nike was the next name to withdraw from Russia, where heavy sanctions were imposed due to war on Ukraine. Nike, which has nearly 100 stores in the country, has decided to leave Russia.
Nike was the next brand to end its activities in Russia.
In a statement made by Nike, a leading designer and marketer of sports shoes, sportswear and sports accessories based in the United States, Nike stated that they will gradually reduce their activities in Russia in the coming months, and that they will not suffer by offering full support to existing employees.
Making an announcement on its official website, Nike noted that its website and mobile application will be closed for use in the region, and its stores will not reopen.
Before the sportswear store serving with nearly 100 stores in Russia, McDonald's announced that it would withdraw from Russia with its decision in mid-May, and Starbucks shared their decision to withdraw with the public a week later.
