Nikola and IVECO Launch Europe Tre BEV Truck

American electric truck manufacturer Nikola Corp (NASDAQ:NKLA), together with IVECO Group, today announced the official launch of a version of the Nikola Tre BEV truck designed specifically for Europe. The companies launched the European Nikola Tre battery electric vehicle (BEV) and introduced the beta version of the European Nikola Tre fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV).

"The Nikola Tre battery-electric and fuel cell electric zero-emission trucks are a true game-changer in commercial trucking," said Michael Lohscheller, President of Nikola Corporation. "Developed specifically as electric vehicles, they offer the performance and driving experience to compete with diesel-powered rivals in the most demanding heavy-duty missions. For regional applications and long-haul transportation, they offer operationally and financially viable zero-emission solutions that will give customers a real competitive advantage." The two vehicles were unveiled at a press conference on the Nikola and IVECO main stage, where they were on display. Visitors to the show can watch demonstrations of the vehicles during the IAA Test Drive Experience and have the chance to take a ride in the Nikola Tre BEV.
