Number of Vaccinated People in Turkey Exceeded 1 Million 200 Thousand

The number of vaccinated people in Turkey has exceeded 1 million 200 thousand. The Chinese CoronaVac vaccine began to be used on January 14.

CoronaVac vaccine, which started to be applied on January 14 in the framework of combating the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, was administered to more than 1 million 200 thousand people. CoronaVac vaccine was administered to Health Minister Fahrettin Koca with the “emergency use approval” of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency of Turkey (TİTCK) in Ankara City Hospital on January 13. After Minister Koca, members of Coronavirus and Social Science Committee began to be vaccinated. Vaccination across the country started with healthcare professionals on January 14 in accordance with the "Covid-19 Vaccine National Implementation Strategy" and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was also vaccinated on the same day. The vaccine administered to 285 thousand healthcare workers on the first day of the application, increased over 500 thousand on the second day.   Over 1 Million People were Vaccinated on the Seventh Day of Vaccination January 20th, which is the seventh day of vaccination in Turkey, the number of people with the first dose of vaccine exceeded 1 million. In accordance with the national implementation strategy, the vaccine, which was delivered to every corner of 81 provinces to vaccinate the first risk groups immediately, has been administered to more than 1 million 200 thousand people to date.   Istanbul Ranks First According to the data shared by Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca on his Twitter account yesterday, it was seen that Istanbul ranks first with 224 thousand 472 people in the graph showing the number of vaccinated people on a provincial basis. While Ankara ranked second with 122 thousand 332 people, the number of people vaccinated in İzmir was 76 thousand 688. Antalya ranked 4th with 41 thousand 305 people, Bursa followed with 39 thousand 470 people, Adana with 31 thousand 462 people, Konya with 29 thousand 320 persons, Mersin with 27 thousand 5 people, Kocaeli with 25 thousand 435 people, Samsun with 24 thousand 283 people, 21 thousand 847 people.
