Overtime in Brexit Negotiations
Overtime will be done in the
Brexit negotiations. The two sides agreed to continue negotiations.
The European Union (EU) and the UK agreed to extend the talks by agreeing to work overtime so that the UK would not leave the European Union without an agreement on December 31st and to sign a trade agreement.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen instructed negotiators to continue talks until Sunday so they could reach an agreement. Johnson and von der Leyen announced on Friday that a no-deal breakup is now the most likely outcome, but on Sunday they gave a new order to the negotiators to continue.
