Sherwin Dowlat Shared The Company's Investment Strategies
Polychain Capital portfolio manager Sherwin Dowlat explained the company's investment strategies in an interview recently, saying:
“I would classify investing in and supporting the crypto ecosystem as a holistic approach. Not only do we have a liquid hedge fund that holds cryptocurrencies, we have much more. This is a very holistic summary of investing in the entire lifecycle of cryptocurrencies and networks. We have it all with a super early stage formation. We only help companies with ideas. It's like the venture arm that is kind of like a seed and perhaps helps incremental investments until they are liquid currencies traded in the markets. And then we actually have a fairly active stake. In fact, we support staking networks when they are launched. Tezos, Cosmos Polkadot and similar networks support them quite naturally.”
Sherwin Dowlat also explained how Polychain decided to invest in liquid assets. Stating that they are looking for unique and low-value projects that solve important problems, Dowlat stated:
“When we invest in assets, we keep them for quite a long time… When I add them to the liquid portfolio, when I talk about how to weigh them or what happens, the most important thing I really think about is: what kind of problems they solve…”
