President Recep Tayyip Erdogan: "We Will Show No Mercy To Unscrupulous Sellers"
Attending the Opening Ceremony of the 1st Section of the Malatya Ring Road, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, "We will show no mercy those who are being unscrupulous about prices, covet the people's food and livelihood."
After rising costs, the hikes in consumer products put the citizens in trouble for their livelihood. Speaking about the record prices given by some sellers to their products,
Erdogan stated that they would show no mercy.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the 1st Part of the Malatya Ring Road,
Erdogan said the following:
“As Malatya grew, developed, and the number of vehicles increased, the traffic density in the directions connected to the center increased. There are 12 intersection bridges, 5 underpasses, 3 railway bridges and 4 hydraulic bridges on our ring road, which has a length of 53.5 kilometers. The first part of this road, which starts from Gölbaşı junction and extends to Pütürge Junction, consists of a 26-kilometer section.
In this way, by relieving the traffic in the city center, we will save 89 million liras from fuel and 97 million liras per year, and we will also reduce carbon emissions by more than 19 thousand tons. The part of the project with an investment cost of 1 billion 128 million TL was completed with an expenditure of approximately 400 million TL. I believe that Malatya will make the best use of this opportunity in transportation and will increase the added value we provide to our country in every field.
I wish our ring road to be beneficial for our city and our country, and I congratulate our ministry, institutions, contractor companies, engineers and workers who contributed to its construction. We are going through a period where the world is struggling with many crises, from epidemic to war, from immigration to discrimination, from economic shocks led by energy and food to social turmoil.
There are problems in our country that we have to overcome. Increases in global commodity prices, such as energy and food, also affect us. We continue our fight against those who charge exorbitant prices. We will show no mercy those who are being unscrupulous about prices, covet the people's food and livelihood."
