Dumping measures, which the Ministry of Commerce evaluates the implementation of hot rolled flat steel products with EU and South Korean oak, are a concern for our industry and all other manufacturing sectors, TÜRKBESD President Can Dinçer said that the Russian-Ukrainian war had serious problems with the supply of raw materials.
Underlined the importance of tax regulation and incentives and reminded that the products subject to investigation constitute the main inputs of the sector. Dinçer said, "Diversification of the supply chain is of great importance in a period when there are serious problems in the supply of raw materials. At this point, the dumping measures, which our Ministry of Commerce evaluates the application of hot rolled flat steel products with EU and South Korean oak, are a concern for our sector and all other manufacturing sectors."
Dinçer stated that it is known that the products procured from the EU, in particular, constitute an input for the production of high quality sheet metals and said, "The lack of sufficient capacity in our country will cause price increases. Considering the ratio of sheet raw material to white goods costs, this situation has an increasing effect on Turkey's inflation.
In this context, tax regulations and incentives will be very useful. In addition, in this period when energy efficiency gains importance, it will be useful to provide support such as VAT and SCT exemption, increasing the number of installments, and using credits with lower interest rates for products in the high energy class in order to accelerate the transition to products with high energy efficiency in the domestic market.
