Privatization Decision for Fenerbahce-Kalamis Marina
The privatization decision was taken for Fenerbahce-Kalamis Marina. The port will be privatized for 40 years.
The announcement of the Privatization Administration regarding the auction was published in the Official Gazette. In this context, the auction will be held by the method of bargaining by receiving bids from more than one bidder in a sealed envelope and making negotiations, and will be concluded with the participation of the bidders whose negotiations are continuing.
The auction, in which the provisional bond amount is determined as 30 million TL, will be continue until July 7.
Real and legal persons and joint venture groups (OGG) will be able to participate in the auction. Mutual funds can only be included in the auction by being included in OGG. OGG may not be comprised of only investment funds, but companies with legal personality, of which mutual funds are shareholders, will be able to bid individually or as included in OGG.
Privatization Revenue was Lowest in 33 Years
The privatization that reached its peak in 2013 in
Turkey was reduced to negligible in 2020, when the coronavirus epidemic was effective.
According to the Privatization Administration data, only 22 million dollars of privatization revenue was obtained in Turkey in 2020. Accordingly, it recorded the lowest level in privatization revenues since 1987. Privatizations in Turkey started in 1986.
