Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's Statement on the Explosion in Bartın
"How the explosion occurred and who, if any, is responsible for it will be revealed through administrative and judicial investigations," President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said regarding the explosion in the mine in Amasra district of Bartın.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke about the mine of the Turkish Hard Coal Corporation Amasra Establishment, where 41 workers lost their lives in an explosion on Friday. President Erdoğan, who came to the mine where the explosion occurred in the
Amasra district of Bartın, first recorded an inspection at the mine site.
Tayyip Erdoğan received information from Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Bilgin and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez about the work carried out and the latest situation at the mine site. Moving to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency Mobile Disaster Coordination Center, Erdoğan chaired the coordination meeting held here.
President Erdoğan used the following expressions in his assessment:
"How the explosion occurred and who, if any, is responsible will be revealed through administrative and judicial investigations. We no longer want to see any deficiencies or unnecessary risks in our mines. We are working to do our best to make mining accidents a thing of the past by using all the capabilities of technology."
