Russia Will Restart Flights to Turkey on June 22
Russia will restart flights to Turkey on June 22. The date that the industry had been waiting for for a long time was surprisingly delayed.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced that flights will start as of June 22. Russia also announced that it will open
flight traffic with the USA, Belgium, Italy and Southern Cyprus.
A short time ago, Russia sent a delegation to Turkey to examine safe tourism practices on the spot.
Flight Restriction Started on April 15
Russia has announced that it has decided to limit travel to Turkey from April 15 to June 1 due to the increase in the number of coronavirus cases.
On May 31, it was reported that the flight restriction was extended until June 21.
Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that Russia's decision to restart flights as of 22 June is an indication of the trust in Turkey for safe tourism.
Evaluating the decision via his Twitter account, Minister Ersoy said, "Russia's resumption of flights to our country as of June 22 is an indication of the trust they have in our country in the name of safe tourism. I hope that we will reap the fruits of our diplomatic traffic with other countries in the coming period, as with Russia."
