Stock Market Also Closed With A Record
The stock market closed with a record. In
Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.13 percent and closed with 1,292.99 points. Thus, the highest closing of all time was achieved.
In the BIST 100 index, which increased by 1.70 points compared to the previous closing, the total transaction volume was recorded as 29.5 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index lost 0.10 percent, while the holding index fell 0.02 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism was recorded the highest gain with 3.27 percent while securities investment partnership was at a loss with 1.64 percent.
In the first half of the day, the index, which increased under the leadership of bank and transportation stocks, saw an all-time peak with 1,309.98 points. Thus, although the BIST 100 index returned some of its earnings with profit sales in bank stocks in the second half of the day, it displayed its best performance at the close.
Analysts stating that tomorrow short-term external debt statistics and housing price index data will be monitored, while European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde and Bank of England (BoE) President Andrew Bailey, as well as the industrial production index in the retail sales data will be monitored abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the levels of 1.310 and 1.320 are in the resistance position and 1.280 points are in the support position in the
BIST 100 index.
