Stock Market and Dollar Earned This Week While Gold and Euro Lost While the stock market and dollar earned this week; gold and euro lost. Stocks traded in Borsa Istanbul gained an average weekly rate of 1.10 percent and a value of US Dollar increased by 0.88 percent. While the selling price for gram of gold depreciated by 3.88 percent; euro / TL rate depreciated by 0.99 percent. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul recorded the lowest 1,084.93 points and the highest 1,135.07 points. Following these levels, the index showed an increase of 1.10 percent compared to the previous week's close and closed the week at 1,124.17 points. This week, the selling price per gram of 24-carat gold bullion traded in the Grand Bazaar fell by 3.88 percent to 455.80 liras. The selling price of Republic gold decreased by 3.88 percent and fell to 3.023.00 liras. While the quarter gold was 768.00 liras last week, it decreased to 739.00 liras this week. The US dollar (USD), which gained 0.88 percent this week, reached 7,6410 lira; euro fell 0.99 percent and fell to 8,8760 lira. This week mutual funds lost 0.10% value; private pension funds also lost 0.60 percent in value. Based on their categories, equity funds earned the most among mutual funds with 0.67 percent.
