Stock Market Hits a Record In The First Half Of The Day The stock market hits a record in the first half of the day. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index increased by 1.44 percent in the first half of the day and broke a record with 1.497.92 points. The highest level the index has seen was 1,498.41 points. BIST 100 index, which started the day with an increase, continued its increasing trend in the first half of the day. The BIST 100 index, which increased by 21.19 points compared to the previous closing at 1 pm, saw the level of 1.497.92, while the total transaction volume was recorded as 14.5 billion liras. In the first half of the day, the banking index gained 1.62 percent, while the holding index gained 1.45 percent. Among the industry indices, mining was the most profitable with 8.73 percent, while forest, paper and printing became the most declining with 1.28 percent. In addition, the BIST 100 index brought its highest level record to 1,498.41 points. Continuing decline in exchange rates continued to support the stock markets. It was also reminded in the afternoon that the US manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data will be followed. In technical terms, analysts stated that the BIST 100 index could come to a resistance level of 1.520 and a support level of 1.420.
