BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased 0.41% and started the day with 1,410.67 points. At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 5.69 points and 0.41 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,410.67 points. While the banking index gained 0.37 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.51 percent. Chemicals, petroleum, plastics were the most profitable in industry indices with 1.58 percent while securities investment trusts fell the most with 0.94 percent. BIST 100 index, which broke the record with 1,410.82 points on Tuesday, closed the day at 1,404.97 points, with 1.48 percent gain in value compared to the previous close. Analysts reminded that the US economy support package, new type of coronavirus epidemic and news about the risk of mutation, as well as personal income and expenditure data in the US will be monitored. Stating that the data agenda in the country is stable today, analyst stated that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s interest rate decision is expected tomorrow, and pointed out that due to the Christmas holidays, that will start in many countries in the west, may bring fluctuations in the markets. In technical terms, analysts stated that if the BIST 100 index is sustained above 1.410 points, 1.440 resistance will come to the agenda, and the level of 1.350 is in the support position.
