Stock markets grew, Tesla's value reached a new record
US electric car manufacturer Tesla ended trading on Wednesday with a market value that exceeded USD 700 billion (EUR 567.35 billion) for the first time.
This means that the company currently has more value than General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Fiat Chrysler and Volkswagen combined.
Tesla's share price rose 2.8 percent to $ 755.98 and totaled $ 717 billion. Last year, 2020, Tesla's shares rose by more than 700 percent.
Most U.S. stocks made big gains on Wednesday, despite unrest in Washington, when President Donald Trump's angry supporters forcibly occupied the U.S. Capitol.
The Dow ended Wednesday with a fresh record. Specifically, the
Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.4 percent to 30,829.40 points. And the broader S&P 500 rose 0.6 percent to 3,748.14 points.

Nasdaq Technology Composite Index fell 0.6 percent to 12,740.79 points.
European stock indices also rose on Wednesday. The German DAX 30 gained 1.76 percent and closed at a record high of 13,891.97 points, reaching a brief high of 13,919.23 points on Wednesday.
The London FTSE 100 jumped up 3.5 percent to 6,842 points the day before. The French CAC 40 rose 1.2 percent to 5,631 points, the Italian MIB by 2.4 percent to 22,734 points and the Spanish IBEX 35 by 3.2 percent to 8,350 points.
The euro climbed to its highest level since April 2018 on Wednesday, as political uncertainty in the US negatively affected the US dollar.
In particular, the exchange rate of the common European currency during trading on the old continent on Wednesday reached 1.2349 USD / EUR.
