The regulation of the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (
BTK) making changes in the consumer rights regulation regarding the electronic communication sector was published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, considering the data rates announced for the service to be provided at the relevant address in the contract summary in internet access services, if the criteria determined in the regulations regarding the speed measurements to be made by the
BTK are not met; The registered subscription may be terminated without paying any withdrawal fee by the subscriber.
Detailed information must be given to the subscriber
The commitment period determined between the operator and the subscriber cannot exceed 24 months. In the contract to the consumer; Information will be given about the duration of the commitment, the non-committal fee of the
tariff and, if any, the average monthly fee to be paid during the commitment period, the maximum and minimum withdrawal fee regarding the amounts that may be incurred by the subscriber in case of termination.
Before the commitment is taken, the operators will present an easy and understandable commitment summary as a separate page to the consumer in a demonstrable way in order to inform the consumer.
Electronic communication operators will introduce their
tariffs under the same and singular name in all channels. A unique name will be determined for each
tariff, and it will be possible for subscribers to access detailed information about
tariffs by using that unique name.
In addition to the recipes that are still in use, the operators will also include the
tariffs that have been abolished in the last 2 years on their web pages.
