The Bank has signaled that there may be 2 or 3 more rate hikes in 2022. Only 2 of 18 economists surveyed by Bloomberg expected an early rate hike. At its meeting in February, the bank stated that price pressures would be short-lived and gave the message that there would be no increase until 2024.
