The Taliban wants Trump to win the elections. Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said, referring to US President Donald Trump, "We hope he will win the elections and end the American military presence in Afghanistan."
While the talks between the USA and the Taliban are continuing, Taliban Spokesperson Mujahid, speaking to the American CBS channel, expressed that they want Donald Trump to win the elections.
Speaking about the presidential elections to be held on November 3, Mujahid said, "We hope that he (Trump) will win the elections and end the American military presence in Afghanistan."

CBS News said, "When we heard that Trump was tested positive for Covid-19, we were worried about his health, but it seems to be getting better now."
Making a written statement on the issue, Tim Murtugh, Trump's election campaign director, stated that they rejected the Taliban's support and US President Donald
Trump would protect American interests under all circumstances.
Trump, who was treated in the hospital after his coronavirus diagnosis and returned to the White House on Monday, made a post on his Twitter account on the latest situation in Afghanistan on Friday.
In his statement, Trump had stated that "Our few brave soldiers who continue their duty in Afghanistan should be at home until Christmas".
Holding a press conference in the White House on September 10, Trump said the following regarding the number of soldiers in Afghanistan:
“We will reduce the number of our troops in Afghanistan to 4 thousand in a short time. Similarly, we will reduce the number of our soldiers in Iraq to 2 thousand in a short time”
