TEIAS will be Offered to Public

TEIAS will be offered to the public. The majority stake in the company will remain in the public domain.

In the announcement published on the website of the Privatization Administration (ÖİB), it was stated that “TEIAS was included in the scope of privatization with the Presidential Decision dated July 2, 2021 and numbered 4222, to start the preparations for the public offering. As such, the privatization method will be public offering, the majority share in TEIAS will remain in the public sector, public control will continue unequivocally. There is no block sale or transfer of operating rights of the company to any person or institution."

It will be affiliated to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources

Referring to the status of the company and its personnel, the statement said, “As TEIAS is only included in the scope of privatization in the current situation, the current status of TEIAS and its personnel and the company's commitment to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources continues.” In the statement, it was emphasized that by offering a minority share of TEİAŞ to the public, it was aimed to bring a strong and broad investor base company to the Turkish capital markets, and the following statements were used: "Thus, in TEIAS, in addition to public auditing, capital market regulations such as financial reporting, public disclosure, independent auditing and corporate governance will also be implemented. During the preparation process for the public offering and afterwards, the Privatization Administration, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and as all other stakeholders, the highest level of attention and importance will be given to the flawless continuation of all business processes and the activities of TEIAS. No rumors, false and misleading comments made about the process, other than the statements made by authorized persons and institutions, should not be respected."
