Tesla's 115 Thousand Vehicles Under Review
Tesla's 115 thousand vehicles under review. The vehicles were claimed to have a suspension problem.
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said in a statement on Friday that it was investigating Tesla's 115,000 vehicles for a front suspension safety issue.
Stating that Tesla received complaints that the left or right front suspension linkages of the 2015-2017 Model S and 2016-2017 Model X vehicles were defective, the regulatory body announced that they evaluated the applications upon the complaints of 43 people.
NHTSA stated that the issue that 32 people complained about was low speed parking maneuvers, and 11 people complained about the malfunctions that occurred while driving. The NHTSA noted that the remaining eight complaints could be the same.
In addition, on November 20, a class action lawsuit was filed against Tesla in the US District Court in California, alleging that Model S and X vehicles had suspension problems.
Last week, NHTSA reported that the examination of Tesla's approximately 159,000 vehicles has been raised to the level of engineering analysis.
Tesla, the electric vehicle manufacturer, approached the issue with silence and left its users curious.
