The US-based company, which saw the great impact of its entry into the Chinese market, performed above expectations in the first quarter of 2021.
In the company's statement about the production and delivery figures, it was stated that 180 thousand 338 vehicles were produced in the first quarter and the deliveries were 184 thousand 800 in the same period. In the last quarter of 2020, the company's delivery figure was recorded as 180 thousand 570.
According to analyst expectations compiled by Bloomberg, the company was predicted to record 169,500 deliveries in the first quarter. It was said that there was an expectation that the delivery figure would reach 160 thousand across Wall Street.
It was pointed out that the performance of Model Y was effective in Tesla's positive delivery results. In addition, Tesla chose not to reveal the figures for the countries on the global operations map.
Tesla manufactures the Model S and X models at its factory in Fremont, California, USA, while the smaller segment Model 3 and Y models are manufactured at its production facility in Shanghai, China.
