The Vice-President of the European Commission and the new head of trade of the European Union (EU) Valdis Dombrovskis told the US to recall tariffs of more than USD 7 billion (EUR 5.93 billion) on EU products in a dispute over subsidies for aircraft manufacturers Airbus and Boeing.Otherwise, they will face additional tariffs on exports to Europe.The Financial Times reported on Sunday on its website.Dombrovskis also called for a settlement of the dispute over subsidies for both European and American aircraft manufacturers.Repairing damaged transatlantic relations is the EU's top priority, Dombrovskis told the Financial Times, urging the United States to lift its Airbus-related tariffs to help restore confidence."Of course, if the US does not withdraw its tariffs, we have no choice but to impose our tariffs," he added.
