The Intensive Work of the General Assembly Begins
The intensive work of the General Assembly begins. The 2021 budget negotiations are planned to continue for 12 days.
Budget negotiations in the Grand National Assembly of
Turkey will continue. The talks, which will begin on Monday, December 7, will continue for 12 days without interruption.
Opening speeches will be made on the first day. Leaders of political parties will also be present at the General Assembly. The 2021 budget law proposal will be presented by Vice President Fuat Oktay. Political parties will also express their views and criticisms on the budget proposal. Representatives of the parties with groups in the parliament will have a say for one hour each.
As of Tuesday, December 8, the budgets of ministries, institutions and organizations will also be discussed. The talks will continue for 12 consecutive days, including the weekend. Closing speeches will be held on Friday, December 18.
Budget discussions at the
General Assembly will take place under coronavirus measures. While the visitor ban continues in the Parliament, MPs will take part in the General Assembly with a limited number of attendance on long shifts. Frequent ventilation of the hall will be provided.
