The Pilots Of The United Airlines Have Agreed To An Agreement
The pilots of the American airline United Airlines have agreed to an agreement that will prevent the loss of almost 3,000 jobs after October 1.
At the same time, everyone should keep their jobs at least until the end of the first half of next year.
Under an agreement with the pilots, United Airlines will deploy a drastically reduced flight plan, as a result of a new coronavirus pandemic, to the entire pilot base.
All of the approximately 13,000 pilots will keep their jobs at least until the end of June 2021, and at the same time the company will reduce the costs associated with the demanding training of new pilots as the situation improves and demand begins to grow. In the event of a disagreement, the airlines planned to phase out 2,850 pilot jobs from 1 October.
They were not allowed to lay off until October 1, as a 6-month government program to support airline jobs is in place in the United States.
The airlines have asked the government to extend the aid for another six months until the end of March next year, which has not yet happened. United Airlines therefore continues to expect redundancies.
