The Presidential Cabinet will meet tomorrow. Many different issues, especially coronavirus, will be discussed at the meeting.

The Presidential Cabinet will convene tomorrow under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The newly appointed and Social Services Minister Derya Yanık, Labor and Social Security Minister Vedat Bilgin and Trade Minister Mehmet Muş will attend the meeting to be held tomorrow for the first time.

Which Issues Will Be on the Agenda?

Many issues, especially the coronavirus outbreak, are expected to be addressed at the cabinet meeting. In this context, it is envisaged to discuss different issues such as the operation in the north of Iraq, along with the results of the measures to combat the epidemic, vaccine supply, the point reached in the domestic vaccine and the vaccination schedule.

Health Minister Koca is Expected to Give a Presentation

In the meeting, where Health Minister Fahrettin Koca is scheduled to make a presentation, it is expected that the effects of the measures on the number of cases, whether new measures are needed, and how long the existing measures will continue. It is estimated that the procurement process in imported vaccine, developments regarding the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, and the last stage reached in domestic vaccine studies will be among the important subjects of the meeting. In addition to Minister Koca, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar is also expected to make a presentation. It is envisaged that Akar will inform the cabinet about the activities of the Turkish Armed Forces against terrorist targets in Metina and Avashin-Basyan regions in northern Iraq, in addition to the ongoing anti-terrorism activities both domestically and beyond the border. With the presentation of Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, it is planned to inform about important foreign developments before the 5+1 conference on Cyprus, which will be held under the leadership of the UN on April 27-29, with the participation of the Cypriot parties and the guarantor countries Turkey, Greece and the UK. In addition, it is estimated that the newly appointed Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık will also make a presentation at the meeting.
