The United States' Cuba Decision Draws Attention. The US administration has decided to lift all flight bans to Cuba.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken sent a letter to the Department of Transportation today, demanding the lifting of restrictions on flights to Cuba.
Blinken emphasized that opening flights to Cuba is in the best interests of Cubans and in the foreign policy interests of the United States.
On the other hand, US President Joe Biden decided to lift many restrictions imposed by former President Donald Trump on Cuba last month.
With Biden's decision, it was announced that flights to cities outside Cuba's capital Havana and family reunification programs would be resumed.
It was announced that group visits to Cuba for educational or business purposes would also be allowed, and the 3 months limit on being able to send $1000 to Cuba was also removed.
