The9 Will Make Its Second Largest Investment in Kazakhstan
The9 will make its second largest investment in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan stands out as a favorite for crypto mining.
The9, a cryptocurrency mining company listed on Nasdaq, continues its investments in Kazakhstan, the most popular country in this field. At the beginning of August, the company agreed to establish a joint mining facility with KazDigital.
NBTC, a subsidiary of The9, announced that it has agreed with Kazakhstan's LGHSTR company to establish a mining center again. NBTC was also on the agenda when The9 company first entered the cryptocurrency sector in January when it ordered more than 26,000
mining machines.
According to the agreement, NBTC company will be responsible for the installation of machines in the regions to be developed. While it is stated that a 200-megawatt center will be built in total, 100 megawatts of the facility will be completed by the end of 2021, and the remaining half will be completed the following year.
The facility established jointly by The9 and KazDigital was a center that would generate a total of 100 MW, that is, half the power of this facility.
When the entire facility is finished, it will have Bitmain's new S19 Antminer mining devices inside, providing a hash rate of 5 exahash per second. NBTC, a subsidiary of The9, will control the board of directors as well as own 51 percent of the joint venture.
