The official text of the statement is shared through Turkish Airlines (THY) Twitter accounts, according to official decisions taken by the authorities, it was stated that arrival of the passengers from Britain to Turkey has been stopped, and continued as follows: “Our flights from Turkey to the UK, along with flights from the UK to the other countries are still active as planned. For ticket changes and other requests, you can make a call at 444 08 49 or by contacting the agency from which you purchased your ticket. New developments and updated information on the subject will continue to be shared on our website or social media accounts.”   What Happened? In recent weeks, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that a new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) was encountered in the country, and entries to the country were closed for a while. After England, the same mutation was detected in countries such as Denmark, the Netherlands, South Africa, and many countries decided to stop their flights to these regions. After these developments Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, announced that the new mutation was encountered in 15 people who entered Turkey from England recently. After this news, entries from the UK to Turkey halted completely.
