THY Stopped All Flights To Russia Until June 1
Turkish Airlines cancelled its flights to Russia until June 1. During this period, there will be two mutual trips a week between the two countries.
Turkish Airlines (THY) announced that all flights to and from
Russia were stopped until June 1, and that there will be two reciprocal flights a week between Turkey and Russia during this period.
In the announcement made through THY's social media account, it was stated that the decision in question was taken by the official authorities.
In the statement of THY, the following expressions were used:
“All flights departing and arriving from the Russian Federation between April 15 and June 1, 2021 have been stopped. During this period, there will be two trips a week between Turkey and the Russian Federation, and you can visit our website for updated information about your flights. You can perform your transactions by calling our call center at 0850 333 0 849, our sales offices or by contacting the agency from which you purchased your ticket.”
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced on April 12, 2021 that it was decided to limit flights to Turkey from April 15 to June 1. Golikova noted at the press conference that the Russian authorities will follow the coronavirus situation in Turkey.
