Their number fell by 60.7% year-on-year due to the new coronavirus pandemic, the Hina news agency reported, referring to the eVisitor tourist registration system.The number of overnight stays fell by 49.1% from January to September to 52.4 million.5.9 million tourists arrived from abroad during the first 9 months, with almost 42 million overnight stays.Year-on-year, the number of foreign holidaymakers decreased by 64.4% and the number of their overnight stays by 53.6%.The Germans had 12.5 million (-38.4%) overnight stays, the Slovenes 8.1 million (-23%), the Poles 4.5 million (-24.4%) and the Czechs 3.5 million (-34, 3%) and for tourists from Austria 2.4 million (-67%).
