Turk Ilac Has Agreed To Manufacture The Russian Vaccine
Turk Ilac has agreed to manufacture the Russian vaccine. An agreement was signed for the production of the CoviVac vaccine developed against Covid-19 in Russia.
After the Sputnik V vaccine, an agreement was reached for the production of CoviVac, another Russian vaccine, in
Turkey.
According to the statement made by Turk Ilac to the Public Disclosure Platform (
KAP), as a result of the negotiations in Russia for the inactive Covid-19 vaccine CoviVac; A memorandum of understanding was signed with the International Research Institute for Advance Systems (IRIAS), which includes the basic principles of the final agreement for the production, licensing and distribution of the vaccine in Turkey.
In Russia, EpiVacCorona and CoviVac vaccines were developed after the Sputnik V vaccine.
Sputnik V Vaccine Received Emergency Use Approval in Turkey
While the Sputnik V vaccine was previously approved for emergency use in Turkey, an agreement was made between Turkey and Russia to produce the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Turkey.
In its written statement, the Russian Direct Investment Fund announced that the Turkish Viscoran Pharmaceuticals is conducting studies for the localization of the vaccine and that it aims to produce the vaccine in many facilities in the coming months. Viscoran Ilac stated that it will help in establishing partnerships with other Turkish pharmaceutical manufacturers.
