SEC Will Review SkyBridge and Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF Applications

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially started reviewing SkyBridge and Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF applications.

The SEC will review SkyBridge and Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF applications. When the official files of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which examined WisdomTree's exchange-traded fund (ETF) application in April, it was seen that the SEC is examining two more Bitcoin ETF applications. If the ETF application of SkyBridge Capital, owned by Anthony Scaramucci, who was previously the head of communications at the White House, is accepted, it will be traded on the New York Stock Exchange, and if Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin ETF offer is accepted, it will be traded on the CBOE's BZX exchange.

A total of 6 Bitcoin ETH Applications Are Examined

With WisdomTree's review in April, and nowadays SkyBridge and Fidelity, a total of 6 ETF applications have been officially reviewed. 10 applications are still in the waiting phase. SEC can make a preliminary decision within 45 days according to the order of the companies. On the other hand, the institution can extend this period up to 240 days. VanEck, Kryptoin, WistomTree and Valkyrie, which have officially submitted applications for ETF, are under official scrutiny. The SEC has not approved any ETF applications so far. However, experts see the probability of making a positive decision much higher this year than in previous years. The Canadian Securities and Exchange Commission accepted several Bitcoin ETF applications and even approved an Ethereum ETF.
