Turkey Obtained Sinovac Production License

Turkey obtained Sinovac production license. Sinovac granted production license to 5 countries including Turkey.

Yin Weidong, CEO of Sinovac, announced that they have licensed Indonesia, Brazil, Malaysia and Egypt to produce the vaccine in their countries, along with Turkey. Speaking to Bloomberg, Yin said that they provided enough vaccines to Brazil, Indonesia and Turkey to vaccinate 20 percent of the population, but this was insufficient. In this context, Yin said that they are in the licensing process for the production of vaccines. In an interview with Bloomberg, Sinovac CEO Yin Weidong noted that there is evidence that CoronaVac performs better in the real world while defending different clinical results. CoronaVac, the Covid-19 vaccine produced by Sinovac Biotech Ltd, achieved high efficacy results in real-life observations among healthcare professionals in Indonesia. Indonesian Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin told Bloomberg that 25,374 healthcare workers with the Sinovac vaccine were followed up for 28 days after receiving their second dose. According to the information given by Sadikin, the vaccine prevented 100 percent loss of life among the monitored group and provided 96 percent protection against hospitalizations.
