Turkey's Current Account Deficit Data Announced Turkey's current account deficit data announced. The balance of payments had a deficit of 1 billion 815 dollars in July. Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has announced the balance of payment data for July 2020. According to the data announced, in the current account, which gave a surplus of 1 billion 990 million dollars in July 2019, a deficit of 1 billion 817 million dollars was given in the same period of 2020. The 12-month current account deficit was 14 billion 941 million dollars. Net inflows from the balance of services decreased by $ 4 billion 617 million to $ 288 million in July compared to the previous year, and the net inflows from the secondary income balance decreased by $ 55 million to $ 80 million, which was the reason behind these results. In addition, foreign trade deficit defined by the balance of payments decreased by 425 million dollars and was recorded as 1 billion 853 million dollars. The current account, excluding gold and energy, which gave a surplus of 5 billion 349 million dollars in July 2019, gave a surplus of 2 billion 95 million dollars in July 2020. Net outflows from the primary income balance decreased by $ 440 million compared to the previous year and were recorded at $ 332 million.
