Turkey's Electricity Production Increased
Turkey's electricity production increased. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced the data.
According to the data on Turkey's electricity production announced by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources , the installed power that will meet the growing electricity needs of the Turkey’s growing economy, industry and population has reached 96 thousand megawatts.
In this context, the share of domestic and renewable energy plants commissioned in the installed power has increased to 63.5 percent.
Hydraulics has the Most Shares
While hydraulics had the highest share in the installed power with 32 percent, domestic coal had 12 percent, wind 9 percent, solar 7 percent, geothermal and biomass 2 percent each.
In addition to these, with the strong investment and maintenance works made in the electricity transmission in 2020, malfunctions decreased by 55 percent in 154 kV lines and 63 percent in 400 kV lines.
