The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) announced that they increased their wheat and barley prices by 400 TL and 200 TL, respectively.
Grain move from the Turkish Grain Board; increased wheat and barley purchase prices.
In the announcement made by the Ministry of Agriculture, "The grain harvest, which started locally in mid-May in our country, is approximately 20 percent as of today. Due to shifts in the rainfall regime, the harvest has been delayed by approximately 2-3 weeks in many regions compared to normal. It is observed that most of the harvested products are still in the hands of producers and are not subject to trade. Domestic and foreign market developments are closely monitored by our Ministry and Turkish Grain Board and it has been decided to increase TMO purchase prices by 400 TL per ton for wheat and 200 TL per ton for barley and to pay "Grain Purchase Premiums" starting from July."
In the continuation of the announcement, the following statements were made; "In order for our producers to benefit from the "Grain Purchase Premium" to be paid by our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as 1,000 TL / Ton for wheat and 500 TL / Ton for barley, they must have sold their products to TMO until September 1, 2022 at the latest. All our producers who have delivered products to TMO until today will benefit from the new increased purchase prices; retroactive price difference payments will be transferred to the bank accounts of our producers in July."
