Turkish markets down at the close; BIST 100 down 1.55%
Turkish equity markets lost value after Monday's close with shares in the Basic Metals, Transportation and Banking sectors decrease in value.
By the close of the Istanbul stock market, the BIST 100 was down 1.55%.
Trading below the BIST 100 and the best performer of the session, Bera Holding A.S. (IS:BERA) is trading at 15.38, up 9.94% or 1.39 points. Meanwhile, Türkiye Sigorta A.Ş. (IS:TURSG) is trading at 5.28, up 5.39% or 0.27 points, while Koza Altın İşletmeleri A.Ş. (IS:KOZAL) is trading at 196.50, up 5.08% or 9.50 points.
The worst performer of the session was RTA Lab Biological Products Pharmaceuticals and Mak. San. (IS:RTALB) closed at 6.39, down 6.03% or 0.41 points. ODAŞ Elektrik Üretim Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:ODAS) is trading at 2.73, down 5.54% or 0.16 points, while Kardemir Karabuk Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. Class D (IS:KRDMD) is trading at 10.67, down 5.49% or 0.62 points.
The number of stocks losing value on the Istanbul Stock Exchange was 343, while the number of stocks gaining value was 114. In addition, 19 stocks remained stable.
Gold Futures for August delivery gained 0.30% or 5.35 to trade at $1.00 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, August Crude Oil WTI Futures are trading at $110.44 a barrel, up 1.85% or 2.01. Meanwhile, September Brent Oil Futures are trading at $113.60 a barrel, up 1.76% or 1.97.
USD/TRY is trading up 0.40% at 16.83 while EUR/TRY is trading up 0.41% at 17.55.
Dollar Index Futures are trading at 104.94, up 0.03%.
