TURKSTAT Announced The Economic Confidence Index
The economic confidence index declined in February as announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute.
TURKSTAT announced the economic confidence index. According to the data released by the
Turkish Statistical Institute, the economic confidence index declined in February.
Economic confidence decreased by 0.5 compared to the previous month and recorded as 95.8 in February.
According to the assessment, this decline in the economic confidence index stemmed from the decline in the real sector, service and construction sector confidence indexes.
Compared to January, the real sector confidence index decreased by 0.3 percent to 108.7, the service sector confidence index decreased by 1.4 percent to 100.4, and the construction sector confidence index decreased by 1.3 percent to 83.1. The consumer confidence index increased by 1.5 percent to 84.5, while the retail trade confidence index increased by 0.4 percent to 108.9.
The index was 96.2 in January. The index, which fell to the lowest level by declining to 58.4 in April 2020 in Turkey, then recovered and climbed to the level of 97.2 in October.
