On July 15, many people from Barack Obama to Bill Gates had their Twitter accounts captured and shared Bitcoin from these accounts. Hackers, from the accounts they captured, “I double the amount of all Bitcoin payments sent to my address. You send a thousand dollars and I send 2 thousand dollars back. ” By sharing a message, they collected 12.5 Bitcoins worth 789 thousand liras with their Bitcoin account.
They Are Accused Of Hacking And Selling Personal Data
A statement came from the Florida Hillsborough State District Prosecutor's Office regarding this event, which caused Twitter to lose more than 4 percent in the stock market. The prosecutor's office announced that three people were responsible for the incident, which has been considered the biggest cyber attack of recent times. According to the statement, Graham Ivan Clark (17), Nima Fazeli (22) and Mason Sheppard (19) are accused of selling personal data through hacking.
Wanted for 30 Seperate Crimes
In a statement from the prosecutor's office, it was stated that Graham Ivan Clark will be tried as an adult due to state fraud under financial scams, despite being underage. In addition, Clark was informed that he was searched for 30 different crimes he committed before.
