Unsold Animals Will Be Purchased By The ESK
Unsold animals will be purchased by the ESK. It has been reported that the Meat and Milk Institution (ESK) will buy the remaining animals.
In his written statement,
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli gave information about the opportunity to be offered to producers who cannot sell their animals and made the following expressions:
"Unsold sacrificial animals brought to the animal markets by our producers due to the Eid al-Adha, will be purchased by the Meat and Milk Institution this year, as in previous years. We will support our breeders who cannot sell their animals this year."
Minister Pakdemirli stated that the producers can apply to the closest ESK combinations and said, "This year, our Meat and Milk Institution will buy the meat of first quality cattle sacrificed meat from 42 liras, and the second quality slaughtered meat from 40 liras. ESK will buy a kilogram of meat from second-class sheep for 38 liras."
Stating that other details about the purchase prices will be announced by the ESK today, Pakdemirli pointed out that they should submit the referral documents given by the veterinarians assigned to the animal markets by the provincial directorates of agriculture for the remaining sacrificial animals they will bring for slaughter.
