US Blacklisted Some Chinese Companies
The US has blacklisted some Chinese companies. The Department of Commerce has economic blacklisted 34 organizations, 14 of which are Chinese.
In the statement made by the
US Department of Commerce, the following statements were included:
"Companies involved in human rights violations and abuse are included (sanctioned) as a result of China's use of intimidation, mass arrests and high-tech surveillance (activities) on Uyghurs, Kazakhs and other Muslim minority groups in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region."
The names of some of the Chinese companies that the US has economic
blacklisted are as follows:
China Academy of Electronics and Information Technology; Xinjiang Lianhai Chuangzhi Information Technology Co; Shenzhen Cobber Information Technology Co; Xinjiang Sailing Information Technology; Beijing Geling Shentong Information Technology; Shenzhen Hua'antai Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd. and Chengdu Xiwu Security System Alliance Co. Ltd..
The United States began imposing economic sanctions on Chinese companies under former President Donald Trump.
