US May Lift Nuclear Sanctions On Iran
The US may lift nuclear sanctions on Iran. The US is preparing to lift sanctions against Iran that do not meet the terms of the nuclear deal.
US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price stated that they are preparing to abolish sanctions against
Iran that do not meet the terms of the nuclear deal with Iran. Price commented in the daily press statement regarding the nuclear negotiations with Iran and the ongoing talks in the Austrian capital Vienna.
Ned Price stated that the US is not in a hurry to negotiate with Iran and is ready for the difficult negotiations, and expressed that they wish to reach a conclusion that will protect the interests of the USA at the end of the Vienna talks.
Announcing that they are preparing to lift some sanctions, Price said, "We are preparing to take the necessary steps to return to the terms of the deal with Iran, including the lifting of sanctions that do not coincide with the deal."
Explaining that he will not reveal which sanctions headings they are working on at the current stage, Price also underlined that they will not give unilateral incentives before Iran returns to the terms of the agreement.
In 2018, former US President Donald Trump decided to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA) Agreement signed between five United Nations Security Council Members and Germany (P5 + 1) and Iran in 2015. The
Joe Biden administration, which took over on January 20, announced that they would return to the Iran nuclear deal.
