US Non-Farm Employment Data Has Been Published
US non-farm employment data for March has been published. The labor force participation rate was 61.5 percent in March.
Non-agricultural
employment in the US increased by 916 thousand in March and the highest increase in 7 months was recorded. The expectations of the economists who participated in the Bloomberg survey were in the direction of an increase of 660 thousand. Non-agricultural employment increase for February was revised from 379 thousand to 468 thousand.
In March, the unemployment rate in the USA was 6 percent, in line with the expectations of economists. Average hourly earnings in the country fell 0.1 percent on a monthly basis in March. Economists who participated in the
Bloomberg survey had expected a 0.1 percent increase in this data. On an annual basis, average hourly earnings increased by 4.2 percent. The expectation for this data was shared as 4.5 percent.
According to the data announced, the labor force participation rate was 61.5 percent in March, in line with the expectations.
Following the non-farm employment data, the US 10-year bond yield reached an intraday peak at 1.68 percent. Especially the acceleration of vaccination in the country drew attention as a factor supporting the recovery in economic activities.
