Getir Aims to Grow in the European Market

Getir aims to grow in the European market. Getir recently became Turkey's second unicorn.

Online delivery application Getir has managed to become a unicorn as a result of new investments received from domestic and foreign funds. The delivery application, established in 2015, achieved a valuation of $ 2.6 billion. It entered the World Unicorn List, which includes 617 companies, at the rank of 166. Tuncay Tütek, Founding Partner of Getir, stated that they owe this success to doing a job that has not been done in the world. Tütek continued as follows: "Second, we owe it to using technology. We are doing that with technology we developed in Turkey. With Turkish software engineers, data engineers." After London, Germany, France And Netherlands Are Next Getir, which has 10 thousand employees in Turkey, opened to the London market 1.5 months ago, and had a rapid growth with 200 employees. Stating that they will continue to spread to the European continent after England, Tütek made the following statements: "We are currently targeting Germany, France and the Netherlands. We have started business purchases here, our search for warehouses continues. We will see Getir under the name of 'Getir' in these 3 countries in a very short time."     Source: TRT
