US President Biden's Approval of a $1.5 Trillion Budget
US President Joe Biden signed the $1.5 trillion budget plan. At the signing ceremony, Biden enacted the budget bill, which passed the United States Senate and House of Representatives with the approval of both Republicans and Democrats.
With the budget to provide
financing to the US federal government until September 30, 2022, the shutdown of the federal government in the country was prevented. As a result of months of work, the 2,741-page budget passed by the Parliament and the Senate also included an aid package of 13.6 billion dollars for Ukraine, which was struggling with the occupation of Russia.
In the actual budget planning, approximately $782 billion was allocated to military expenditures within the Ministry of Defense. The 22.5 billion dollars demanded by the White House for vaccines and treatment due to the fight against new variants of the coronavirus pandemic was not included in the planning.
From his social media account on the subject,
Biden dropped the note, "We need Congress to immediately provide $22.5 billion in emergency funds to continue our country's response to Covid-19."
