USA started offering Litecoin in cryptocurrency auctions.
The General Services Auction Administration (GSA), which puts the assets obtained from illegal transactions up for auction, has also started to offer Litecoin to citizens.
In the statement made by the GSA, it was reported that 150.2 Litecoin, 8.925 Bitcoin and 0.000229 Bitcoin Cash will be put up for sale by auction.
In the program, which will continue from June 18 to June 22, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin sales will be made at once. On the other hand, amounts ranging from 0.025 to 2 BTC will be sold after a total of 10 rounds of auction. It was also stated that the auction may take a long time, according to the proposed prices.
GSA Regional President Thomas Meiron, who made statements on the subject, stated that investors now see such auctions as an opportunity and that the interest in question will increase with the addition of a new cryptocurrency, and said, "The
cryptocurrency community has a great interest in auctions."
It was noted that GSA held a total of 4 Bitcoin auctions this year and received $937,000 for 16.99 BTC.
Tim Draper Bought 30 Thousand BTC
In the auction where the BTCs obtained from the famous Silk Road site in 2014 were sold, billionaire Tim Draper bought 30 thousand Bitcoins. Draper paid $632 per Bitcoin.
In Europe, a similar auction was held for the first time in France in March this year.
