Very Unlikely to Reach Agreement on a Trade Agreement with the EU
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated that it is very unlikely to reach an agreement on a trade agreement with the
EU.
Speaking on Thursday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson noted that the likelihood of Britain not reaching a trade agreement with the European Union is very strong. However, he promised to do whatever he could to achieve an agreement.
Answering journalists' questions, Johnson said, "I think we should be very clear, there is now a strong possibility that we will not reach a trade agreement, we have a solution that is more like the EU-Australia relationship than the EU-Canada relationship, and that does not mean that it is a bad thing."
Regarding the process
Johnson said, “What I am telling our negotiators is that we must continue and we will go further. I will go to Brussels, Paris or Berlin or anywhere. We will try to reach an agreement. There is a possibility that the solution will emerge.”
